We had plans to go to a masquerade party at a friend’s house for NYE, and I had plans for my mask for a while. A couple of days prior to the party, Rick realized he didn’t have a mask and did not know what to do. We had a white paper mask from a craft store, and he decided to wear a Handsome Jack from Borderlands mask, and didn’t know where to start. So took the mask, which looked like this:

I ran the mask under water to dampen it, and molded it with my fingers. I added some medical cloth tape and paper to make a chin and a more squared off jawline, made a few cuts here and there, and slapped some paint on it and a ribbon to keep it on Rick’s head. It took about 2 hours. With more time, I could make a better mask, but it served its purpose. Rick had a cool mask for the party.
