For the same NYE party as the Handsome Jack mask, I made a slightly more traditional mask. My mask is inspired by one of my favorite buildings, Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station. I decided to take various elements of the 1930s Beaux Arts landmark and turn them into an interesting mask design. The.. feathers? I guess? Are inspired by the windows and art deco light fixtures, the gold-framed red squares mimic the ceiling, the textured bits are drawn from the design along the base of both the indoor and outdoor pillars, and brow and nose bridge section is inspired by the places where the arches above the tracks meet. With a cloudy night sky visible through the arches, because I am a sucker for a starry night dappled with clouds.
