Here is the finished result of my Gaige and Deathtrap cosplay:

This was taken at the Too Many Games convention. Deathtrap got a little compressed on the car ride there, but I was able to fix it up later for pictures.

This was an eye-opener of a project. I had to really use my imagination to figure out what kinds of things would work best for each of the MANY components of both mine and Rick’s costume. Firstly, I tried to predominantly use recycled materials: Thrift store clothes, amazon boxes, food packaging, and plastic bottles were the major components, with some new items purchased to transform into accessories (the goggles are sunglasses that I cut apart, screwed to a piece of a thrift store belt, and covered in paperclay.. the class mod is a lunchbox I painted over, etc.)  I will detail some of particulars in my next post. At any rate, it was a really fun convention, and I think our costumes went over well!
